Director, Banking Innovation

As Director of Banking Innovations, John’s role is to guide Blockchains’ efforts in transforming traditional banking services and delivery channels into the digital world. John collaborates with GenuBank, a sister corporation, in the development of digital products and services to serve the Web3 ecosystem.

Prior to joining Blockchains, John spent over thirty years in banking in both privately owned and publicly traded community banking organizations in executive positions, including Board Chairman, President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Financial Officer, including 11 years as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for a multi-bank and thrift holding company, with duties that included managing the banking affiliates and multiple acquisitions and mergers.  In addition, he spent 10 years providing professional accounting and consulting services to various banks as the external CPA in the areas of audit, income tax, strategic planning, and acquisitions/sales of banks. John has served on multiple bank boards of directors, including GenuBank.

John holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.
