Matthew Commons is responsible for corporate development at Blockchains. He is involved with the strategic development of Blockchains’ products, fundraising, and partnership efforts.
Matthew is a serial entrepreneur and previously served as the founding CEO of Cambridge Blockchain, a digital identity enterprise software company acquired by Blockchains in late 2020. Matthew is enthusiastic about bringing user-controlled digital identity to the technology ecosystem in Nevada and beyond.
Matthew’s formal training is largely in business, having attended Harvard Business School, Wharton, and CFA Institute, and he has a passion for applying advanced engineering to new fields. He is an inventor on four issued patents covering blockchain, digital identity, and IoT. He has led global expansion for several technology ventures, building strategic partnerships and raising over $160 million in capital from institutions such as PayPal, Foxconn, Goldman Sachs, Digital Currency Group, Partech, and Kleiner Perkins.
Matthew lives with his wife and two sons in Paris, where he enjoys rugby and croissants.
