Director of Stablecoin and Fintech
Melcom Copeland is the Director of Stablecoin and Fintech. Originally from San Francisco Bay Area, he has spent 20-years working and living in Europe, and the past year was based in Singapore working as the Director of Global Business Development for Pundi X Labs where he was responsible for global distribution of the world’s first cryptocurrency point-of-sale payment solution. Melcom is involved in the strategic development and product design of Blockchains’ high-volume Stablecoin payment platform.
Melcom has led several projects and teams to “Industry Firsts” within the real money online and retail gambling industry. He was the Founder and CEO of BetXTech where for 13-years he spearheaded the development and commercialization of “No-Risk” online, mobile, and retail sports betting and virtual gaming platforms including over-the-counter bet capture systems, self-service betting terminals (SSBTs), and odds display solutions. He also led the development of a Self-Service Voucher Redemption Terminal (VRT) integrated with IGT and Bally Technologies casino management platforms that was subsequently deployed with marketing leading casinos in Europe.
Copeland has a B.A. in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Davis, and holds a Certification in Fintech from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He is also completing (2021) a Masters in Research in Computing Science from Staffordshire University (UK) writing a dissertation on the roles of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency in the Gaming industry with specialization in esports.
Melcom enjoys sports, the outdoors, has competed in Spartan Obstacle Races, and has experienced living on a 35-meter houseboat for 5-years on the Paris River Seine in France.
