Sparks, Nev. – In a first-of-its-kind tech summit hosted by Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval, resident tech entrepreneurs and innovators shared their reasons for making Nevada their home, and their plans for expansion in their industries. The summit included a one-on-one conversation between the governor and Tesla’s Elon Musk, as well as a panel discussion that included Tesla, Panasonic and newcomer Blockchains, LLC.
Jeffrey Berns, CEO of Blockchains, LLC shared his vision for how blockchain technology will change the way the world interacts. Berns purchased more than 67,000 acres of land next door to Tesla, Panasonic and others in the area known as the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center. At the summit, the governor officially re-designated the area “Innovation Park.”
Berns shared his passion for the possibilities powered by blockchain technology.
“Imagine a world where people can collaborate from anywhere they are, establish rules for their collaboration, exchange value, and have it all enforced by blockchain – not by a government, not by a bank, but by code that’s guaranteed to do what it’s supposed to do,” Berns said. “The stuff that is being developed right now is going to change every facet of our life – how we work, how we play, and how we live.”
Blockchains, LLC will celebrate its global launch on November 1, 2018 at an exclusive event during Prague Blockchain Week in Prague, Czech Republic. Berns said that he would reveal details about the plans for the Innovation Park site at that event.
